Shares of Tesla Inc. jumped more than 4.5 percent on Friday morning as the automaker said it had delivered a record 112,000 cars to buyers in the final three months of 2019, a figure that handily topped analyst predictions for the Palo Alto-based company.
Tesla said it delivered 92,550 Model 3 and 19,450 Model S and Model X electric vehicles in the fourth quarter. All told, it delivered 367,500 vehicles last year. It also produced a record 104,891 cars in the quarter, it said.
